An idyllic, leafy setting along the banks of the Three Mile Creek marks the spot of compassionate senior care in Wangaratta.
The Anglican Church Diocese founded St John’s in the autumn of 1969. The foundation was set as a place to cater to older people’s needs in the Rural City of Wangaratta. The expansive, five wing facility holds 146 beds, including memory support areas. Most rooms have a full ensuite, while other units have personal toilets and hand basins with a private shower.
As we age, we want assurances that are immediate and long-term needs will be met. Residents of St John’s can take comfort in our team of clinical specialists at the ready. Registered nurses, endorsed enrolled nurses and personal care assistance are on call 24 hours a day. A social care team manages activities and therapy to enhance quality of life. St John’s aged care offers comprehensive continuing care, including:
Residential aged care
Palliative care
Secure dementia care
Respite care
